Translated by Lawrence Venuti. This book is not going to thrill everyone, but it should be of interest to fans of the type of literary fiction that has a psychological depth to it.

To be honest, I am not sure if I would have enjoyed this so much if I was not such a huge fan of the play that is based off this book. May 04, Adele R. This is not an poor choice—it helps denotes change of social class—my concern was that they read more as British harchetti Italian.
When reading of love in 19th Century Italy, this stands out. Tarchetti published his plagiarized translation of ” The Mortal Immortal ” by Mary Shelley as “The Elixir of Immortality”, with small but significant changes but without attribution.
