What is the Joy of Living? – Tergar
This book is wonderful, and I highly recommend for anyone who wants to focus on their mind and mental health and remove stress from their life. There are probably as many books about meditation as there are meditators, so what makes this book different and why does it earn five stars?
His life story is compelling and he is able to make the somewhat esoteric Tibetan meditation practices very down-to-earth mingyir understandable. Awareness meditation allows us to use any situation or experience, even difficult emotions and physical pain, as a gateway to inner peace. I had mingjur dabbled in meditation or mindfulness before that time, so the techniques Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche presented were eye opening.
As someone who has recently discovered meditation and has been meditating for a few months I can confirm that it indeed does work. May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
