As I love to read i read this while both of goodjight read it. I read so many children’s books these days and now realise how high the benchmark for real literature can gooxnight should be for children. Young William is sent to live in the country michelel an elderly man by the name of Tom. Magorian writes in a touching and sympathetic way about love, trust, fear and respect.
Re-read this as an adult for book club and it was just as delightful as ever. The simple writing style just makes everything seem more true, somehow. And this one was the first book I chose. But there is much in the story that will make you chuckle, especially William’s very outgoing friend Zack, whom I haven’t mentioned much even though he is a good part of the book and who godnight me smile just thinking about him.
